The Editor

Charlie Perseus (he/they) spends his time attempting to paint the devil with words— when he isn’t busy with graduate school or editing warning lines literary. He wrote the poetry chapbooks PLACES (Gutslut Press), and AUTHOR OF ALL ILL (fifth wheel press), and has been featured in The NoSleep Podcast, the HELL IS REAL Anthology, and others. His work is often connected to his own transness, disability, and monstrosity. Find him on twitter @beelzebadger.

Currently, he's pursuing an MA in Anglophone Literature at Karlstad University and other universities in Sweden, where he lives with his cat and most of his friends in a very unusual queer collective. Most recently, he began working on his thesis, related to monstrosity and postmodern gothic fiction.

Charlie's editorial decisions and his own creative practice are often grounded upon various aspects of literary theory and cultural analysis. Some of Charlie’s favorite topics, themes, and approaches to explore are: the gothic, the Dionysian, the monstrous, the postmodern gothic, trans studies, critical discourse analysis, queer theory, Intersectionality, and satanism (particularly Miltonic and Queer satanisms). Because of his own experiences of marginalization due to being trans, queer, Latino, multiply disabled, and an immigrant, Charlie (and therefore warning lines) highly values social and political justice, anti-discrimination, anti-racism, and all other defiances against the oppressive cisheteronormative, ableist, white supremacist systems on which the current world operates.
